Why an in-house lab matters
A real testing lab means named equipment, a staffed team, and specific tests a buyer can ask for by name. This page exists because a first-time buyer usually can't tell the difference from a website alone, and shouldn't have to take it on faith.
What "in-house" actually means here
Our testing equipment and our full-time QC staff sit inside the same Shenzhen facility as the molding, machining, stamping, and die casting lines they check — real equipment, real people, on our floor, not a service we resell from a lab across town. A part that fails a test goes back to the line the same day, before a bad batch runs any further.
UV exposure testing
Coatings and plastics that look right on day one can chalk, fade, or crack after months outdoors. UV exposure testing runs that aging in the lab instead of leaving a customer to discover it in the field a year after launch. It's relevant to anything that ships to be used outside — sporting goods hardware, outdoor equipment housings, anything a brand's name is visibly attached to in sunlight.
Water ingress testing
A sealed enclosure or a weatherproof housing is only as good as its seams, gaskets, and vents actually hold up under water exposure — not as good as the drawing says it should be. Water ingress testing checks the built part, not the design intent, which is the gap that produces a real-world failure a spec review alone would miss.
A full-time QC staff
The lab is staffed, not occasional. A dedicated quality team runs inspection and testing as their job, not as a task layered onto production staff between other work. That's what lets testing happen on the same schedule as production, instead of becoming the reason a shipment slips — and what makes a test result something we can stand behind, not a spot check.
Running a customer's own certification tests, on our floor
A first-time buyer's biggest fear is often not the part itself — it's not knowing whether the factory can even prove the part meets the standard their own customer or regulator requires. We run a customer's own certification test requirements on their behalf as part of qualifying a production run, working from the standard the customer supplies. Does Fudakin actually run its own testing lab, or send parts out?
We run our own in-house testing lab, staffed by a full-time QC team, on the same floor as the processes it checks. UV exposure testing and water ingress testing happen here, not at a third party — so a failing result comes back in days, not after a part travels to an outside lab and back.
