Calculator

The numbers already in the boxes are an example: a $2.00 molded part, 10,000 a year, with an $8,000 one-time cost to move the mold to Thailand or make a second one. Replace them with yours. Every box can be edited.

Set to 0% as a placeholder. It depends on the product's HTS code. Look up your code or ask your customs broker. It is the same for both countries.

Made in Thailand

Moving a mold to Thailand, or making a second one, adds a one-time cost that depends on the product. $8,000 is only an example.

Duty rates as of October 15, 2026, from our China vs Thailand US tariffs answer. The older China-only duty is 25% or 7.5% depending on the product code. Rates change, so check the date and confirm your product code with your customs broker.

What this doesn't include

  • Customs broker fees and the US Merchandise Processing Fee and Harbor Maintenance Fee (MPF and HMF).
  • Inland freight from the US port to your door, and any storage.
  • Currency. Everything here is in US dollars. Exchange rates can move your price.
  • Origin rules. US Customs decides the country of origin by where a product is substantially transformed, not by where it ships from. Origin decides which duty rate applies. Your customs broker handles the origin paperwork, and Fudakin supplies the documents your broker asks for.
  • Thai origin depends on the job. Some jobs are fully made in Thailand. Some combine parts from Shenzhen. We work it out per project.
  • Metal parts. Separate Section 232 duties may apply to metal parts from either country. Ask your broker.
  • Rate changes. Tariff rates change often. Check the "as of October 15, 2026" date above.

This is an estimate, not customs advice. Fudakin is a factory, not a law firm. Confirm your product code, duty rates and origin with your customs broker before you order.

How Fudakin fits

Fudakin owns its factories in Shenzhen, China and in Samut Prakan (Greater Bangkok), Thailand. Bangkok runs injection molding, storage and assembly. Overmolding, two-shot and CNC machining are in Shenzhen only, so parts that need those steps are made in China. Your customs broker confirms the origin of the finished product.

If your mold is already in Shenzhen, production can move to Bangkok by moving the mold or by building a second mold. It depends on the part. You pay for the mold and you own it either way.
