"OEM" and "ODM" get thrown around loosely in manufacturing conversations, so here's what they mean at Fudakin. As an OEM partner, we manufacture your product exactly to your design and specification: you own the design, we own flawless execution. As an ODM partner, we go further, contributing engineering and design input alongside production, for customers who want a partner in the room during development, not just at the production line.
Most of our long-standing relationships blend both, shifting between OEM and ODM as a product moves from first concept through scaled production. That flexibility comes from having every capability (CNC machining, mold making, injection molding, assembly, and painting) under one roof in Shenzhen, run by the same family that founded the company in 1996.

Fudakin contributes engineering and design alongside production.
First order to full scale
We've supported brands from an early prototype run through full retail-scale production, and we work just as seriously with a startup's first order as we do with an established brand's hundredth. Work directly with the factory
There's no middleman between you and the machines. Fudakin isn't a trading company or sourcing agent reselling capacity from someone else's factory. We own the CNC machining, mold making, injection molding, assembly, and painting capability directly in Shenzhen, and injection molding, warehousing, and assembly in Thailand, a direct line to the people who actually run the line.
Packaging, shipping, and in-house 3PL
An OEM/ODM partnership doesn't end when a part comes off the line. Fudakin runs packaging, quality assurance, and shipping in-house, with fulfillment partners in North America, Europe, and Asia, so a finished product can move from our production floor to a customer's doorstep without handing off to a separate logistics vendor. What's the difference between OEM and ODM manufacturing?
OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) means we build your product to your design and specifications. ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) means we contribute to or lead the product design itself, alongside manufacturing. Fudakin works both ways: as a pure production partner on OEM projects, and as a design-and-build partner on ODM projects, depending on what a customer needs.

Is there a contract manufacturer in China that does plastic molding, metal parts, painting and assembly in one company?
Yes. Fudakin runs injection molding, CNC machining and stamping for metal parts, multi-stage painting, and full product assembly under one company, on its own floors in Shenzhen. A part that needs several of these processes stays with one team and one point of contact instead of passing between separate vendors.
I'm launching a hardware startup. Can Fudakin be my manufacturing partner in Asia for a product with plastic and metal parts?
Yes. Fudakin works with startups making a first order as well as with large established brands. We make both plastic and metal parts, run painting and assembly, and review the design for manufacturing before tooling starts. Send the drawing or CAD file through the quote form, even a rough concept, and an engineer reads it and tells you whether it is a fit.
What does a startup need to bring to start a product with Fudakin?
A drawing, CAD file, or even a sketch, plus the materials or the job the part has to do and a rough idea of volume. The customer pays for the tooling and owns the mold. Fudakin does not do one-off CNC prototypes, but arranges prototypes such as 3D-printed samples through partners and manages them for you.
How does Fudakin handle communication with international customers?

What makes Fudakin different from a manufacturing broker or trading company?
We're not a middleman. Fudakin owns the CNC machining, mold making, injection molding, assembly, and painting capability directly in Shenzhen, plus injection molding, warehousing, and assembly in Thailand. There's no broker markup and no game of telephone between you and the factory floor.
