What to include

None of this is mandatory. Send what you have and we will ask about the rest, but the more of it that arrives in the first message, the closer the first reply gets to a real number.

• A drawing, model, or photo: A STEP or IGES file is ideal. A 2D drawing works. So does a photo of the part or a sketch on paper. We have quoted from all three.
• How many you need: A prototype, a first run of 500, or 50,000 a year. The number changes which process makes sense, so a rough figure is more useful than none.
• When you need it: Typical production lead times run 30–45 days once tooling exists. Each order gets its own confirmed date. Tooling itself takes longer. Knowing your date shapes the answer.
• Anything that has already gone wrong: If another supplier turned the part down or the last run came back wrong, tell us. That is usually the most useful thing to know.

What happens after you send it

An engineer reads it, not a sales inbox. If the part is a fit, you get questions about material, tolerance, and finish: the specific ones that decide cost. If it is not a fit, we say so and tell you why, rather than quoting high to make it go away.

If tooling is involved, the honest first question is what the mold costs and whether you can fund it. We answer that before anything else, because it is the number that actually decides whether a first order is possible. See what a mold costs and who owns it →

Shenzhen covers the full range: CNC machining, injection molding, mold making, stamping, finishing, and assembly, under one roof. Die casting runs in Shenzhen too, in our plant and at a trusted partner shop nearby. Bangkok runs injection molding, warehousing, and assembly, and exists for customers who need production outside China.
